- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hannah entered the mall depressed. She still had the memory of Tristan inside her mind. And she just wanted to move on. She knew that even time couldn't heal this. She sat down in the food court. She put her head on the table and sighed. She looked at a happy family walk by her. Smiling at them she stood up and got a smoothy. Sitting back down she plopped on the seat. She leaned back in the seat to make herself more comfortable. Hannah felt so bad and good at the same time. She didn't know when this horrible inbetween was going to stop. Taking the last sips of her smoothy she stood up and threw it away.
Hannah figured she could look at some stuff while she was there. She walked into Journey's and looked at the converse. She didn't care that most people liked DC's better. Or that's what it looked like inside the store, she loved converse way better. Hannah tried on a pair of converse. They were red with different patches of designs. She loved them instantly. She walked up to the counter and waited to be checked out.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -And now you wish that you ment somethingAnd now you wish that you ment something to somebody else. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - With a joint in his mouth, and a white sweatshirt on over his white shirt with black jeans, Joey walked into the mall. He could see all the other people, friends, family, children; it all made him sad to think that he didn't really have anything anymore. Mom was long dead, Dad was in the war, Jake was in Boston for some reason. The only thing Joey ever turned too was drugs and alcohol.
Joey didn't really have a lot of money, but he had some. He really needed to get a new pair of shoes. The ones on his feet had the souls worn out. He walked into Journeys, and looked at the DC shoes. He didn't like converse that much, they just didn't fit his liking. He was rather weird like that. He looked at the girl trying to find some that she liked. And it looked like she found some that she liked. Joey picked up a pair of black and white ones. They were a nice pair of shoes. "Hey. How much are these?" Joey held up the shoes. "fifty." The guy behind the counter said. Joey looked down at the shoes. He had enough for them. He looked at the girl again, she was pretty, but something must be wrong with her. He held the shoe in his hand and he looked at the girl again. He walked over to her. Pulling the joint from his mouth, he put it in his pocket. He never lit it, cause he's lighter died on him before he got there. Hey. I'm Joey. Is something wrong? I mean, its just that you look unhappy about something. He said.

Hannah looked up at the guy. She gave him a weird look and saidWhy does it matter to you what I look like i'm feeling?"Ouch, Hannah that was pretty bitchy. You know that he was just trying to be nice. Hannah had learned to listen to her mind. She turned to the guy again and said "sorry it's just...well yeah I am going through something. It's not really anything I would like to talk about with a complete stranger. It was kind of harsh but she was telling the truth. She wasn't going to tell the hurtful story to someone she doesn't even know. Who knows that person could be a huge jackass and just laugh, or that person could be caring and kind. But she didn't know what to believe anymore from the incident.
Hannah bought the pair of converse and turned to the guy again. "By the way. I'm Hannah. She said nicely. She even tried to throw in a smile. Which didn't really work. She hadn't smiled since the incident and she didn't plan to for a while until some pressure eases.

Joey shrugged. Hey. No need to be snappy. I was just wondering. Joey said. He shrugged again. He blinked at her and ran a hand threw his blonde and brown hair. He turned back around to the counter as she got up and paid for her shoes. He looked at the shoes again and then pulled out his wallet. He looked at his money. He had maybe seventy, cause he was saving. When she was done paying for her shoes, he bought his and held the bag in his hands.
That's a nice name. Hey, sorry about asking, can I at east buy to something to eat or drink? I mean, for getting into your life.. Joey asked. He did feel kinda bad for getting into her life. It wasn't his business to ask, but hey he wasn't an ass and just ignored her.

Hannah gave him a smile. "Are you sure you don't mind? Otherwise I would love some pizza. but again I'm sorry for snapping. The experience changed my life you can say. She sat down and put her last shoe on and then stood up.
"But since you seem nice I'm going to tell you what happened. So I was with my boyfriend for about a week, and we were having fun and all, playing songs together and singing even though we both don't have very good singing voices. Anyway...so one day I was in the park a guy was flirting with me and being my stupid self I flirted back. So Tristan just had to walk by at that time and see me. Well when he got there he dropped his guitar after we all yelled for a bit. I brought it back to him but when I walked into the room I found out that he was suicidal. something huge that he had been keeping from me, and we yelled for a little bit. In the end I left but came back to say I was sorry once more. But... hannah started to get her eyes clouded up with tears.
When I went into his dorm, there was a note on his bed. I smelled blood. And..... god i'm sorry. Now she started to sob. She didn't want to relive this part but she had to. Now her hands cupped her face and she was sobbing. People were giving her strange looks but like she cared. But she couldn't even finish the damn story. That was bad.

Yeah. I don't mind at all. You look like you need some cheering up a bit. He said, with a smile. His face instantly fell when she said that her boyfriend pretty much just killed himself. I'm so sorry for you. I'm sure that he probably wasn't the one for you. There is probably someone out there that will be better for you. It just wasn't him. He said. He took her hand and with his other hand he wiped the tears from her face. "I know that its tough, but it will get better for you." He said.
He let go of her and ran a hand threw his hair. Pizza sounds good. Come on Joey said. He tried to smile, though it didn't really work too well. He held out his hand. I'll get you what ever you what, alright? He said.

Hannah smiled up at him. "You know I think your right. There is someone else out there for me. And i'm going to find him. You know I'm very glad I got to meet you." She leaned in and hugged him tight. "You know most people would just tell me to get over it. But thank god someone understands." She looked into his eyes and wiped another tear from her eye. She walked out of the store. She turned to him and said "So what about you. Have you ever loved a girl with all her heart?" She became really serious now and she hated it.
She just wished she could loosten up a bit but she couldn't even if she used every ounce of her energy to try and laugh. She could at least get a smile out. That was a good sign. She was happy that she at least had a smile with her. But it wouldn't show up that much.

"See! That's the spirit!" Joey said, a smile on his face. He hugged her back for a moment, before letting go of her. Trust me. I know the feeling. joey said, a bit of sarcasm in his voice. No one really did want to understand him fully. They either didn't like him cause he was always with drugs, or just because he was the way he was. He didn't really care anymore. But he was really good with people, something that a lot of people didn't find with drug addicts as bad as he was.
He was taken back a little bit by her question. Did he ever love a girl with all his heart... Yeah He did."Yeah. I did. Her name was Isabelle. She was so sweet, and kind and everything about her was perfect in my eyes. But she was taken away from me. She was kidnapped one day. I never saw her again. But after a while I started to forget about her. She probably forgot about me after two years, I mean I would forget about me. " Joey said, looking up at the ceiling. He did miss her a lot. She was perfect for him. And she was gone. Forever. He moved away from were he was living, and she was long gone. He just hoped that she wasn't suffering.
Joey looked down at her, at least she was smiling. "Hey! At least your smiling. It's a start right?" He asked, smiling himself.

Hannah smiled up at him and said "Oh god that's horrible. I'm so sorry it had to be that way. But I guess things just happen for a reason." Hannah was very sorry and concerned. The first thing to pop into her mind was Jeremy. How his girlfriend was shot. That news made her hurt inside. and that was something spectacular. Hannah smiled up at him and said "Well it's a start but I'd rather get to the finish line as quick and painless as possible." She smiled up at Joey. Signifying a joke. It was clever for her to say something like that. When that happened she became very proud of herself.
She walked up to the counter and ordered the pizza and paid. She sat down at the table with Joey. "So what brings you to the mall?" She said taking a big bite out of her pizza. She hadn't had pizza in a while so she was going to pig out today just for the hell of it.

Joey shrugged. "I try to think about it less and less as the days go by." He said after a what she said. He rose one eyebrow at her for a moment, then understood everyone. Don't we all? It would make life easier for moment. But nope. It wants to fuck us all over." Joey said. He didn't really seem to mind that he was swearing with a girl there, sure he got a few looks from the people around them, but he didn't really care to much. Freedom of speech, he was allowed to talk how ever he wanted, when he wanted. And they couldn't stop him. He smiled a bit. "Someone is happy about her smart comment isn't she?" Joey said, a smile on his lips. He was only teasing her.
He bought himself a large mountaion dew, and sat across from her. "I really Really needed new shoes. I mean, I have wholes in these. I don't make a huge amount of money, and my mom is gone, and dad's over seas, and Jake is studying in Boston, so he sends some money to me when he remembers to. But yeah, Shoes. what about you? Just trying to clear your pretty little head?" He explained, and stared to rambled for about a minute before realizing and cutting what he was saying short. He really needed to stop doing that a lot. He took a sip of his soda. He didn't by himself any food, cause he didn't want anything.

Hannah smiled up at him. "Actually I am very proud of my little comment." She was happy and sad, happy....sad. Why couldn't she just make up her mind? Hannah cocked her head and listend to him speak. "Ok I hate bragging but I make a lot of money from my parents. And since I owe you for cheering me up, how about I buy you some new shoes? Really I don't mind." It was the least she could do. He had encouraged her to go out there and try to move on as well as she could. Meeting people like that don't just come along every second of the day, and she was lucky to have that.
Hannah smiled at him and finished off her pizza. yes she was concidered a pig but hey, she had a big appetite. She couldn't help herself. And the more she tried to stop eating, the more she became a pig. So no diets like that....

Joey smiled a bit. At least she seemed happy. He rose one eyebrow at her when she said she wanted to buy him shoes. "It's fine. I actually just bought them. And that's not bragging." He said, leaning down to pick of the bag of DC shoes. He held it up for a moment, then put it back down on the ground. He took another sip of his soda and watched her eat all of the pizza.
Well, someone was hungry. He said, looking at her empty plate of food. He usually ate as much as she just did, but he wasn't hungry at the moment.

Hannah nodded at his comment. "Ok, I was just asking. And if you ever need anything then just tell me. I gotcha covered." She smiled at him. Laughing hard when she said "Oh yeah...very." After she calmed herself down and got herself together she said "Sorry, a little case of the giggles. But yeah i've had a huge appetite ever since I was 5. It's crazy. I almost think I have 2 stomachs. It's hard to handle sometimes." She shrugged and wiped her mouth. She looked at the napikin. Grease was all over it. So that means it was all over her mouth. Great. That was attractive.
Hannah smiled at him. "So do you go to the art school? I'm a mucisian there." She looked at the ground at a piece of paper. She kicked at it and it landed in the middle of the walkway. She watched as someone stepped on it. Then she shook herself out of the daze she was in. That was weird.

Joey smiled and nodded at her. She was really nice, but she didn't know a lot about him. He was a drug addict, and he was weird. He wasn't a normal druggie either. He wanted to clean up, he wanted to live a long time, he wanted children. As weird as that sounded. He laughed bit as she has grease all over her face. "You got a little.." He said, pointing to his own mouth and around it.
"Yup. I'm a sophomore there. I would be a junior, but I never did work so I'm a sophomore still. Yeah, I'm a musician too." Joey said. He rose one eyebrow, she played an internment too? "Oh, your a musician too? What do you play? I play a bit of bass, mostly regular guitar, the drums and the accordion. Don't really ask about that last one.. I was sort of forced into it by my dad cause he likes that kind of crap. I think that it's just an awful internment, by hey some people like it. I'm just not one of them.

Hannah smiled at him and said "I know. And I'm a junior there. I was actually suppose to be a Sophomore except I started early. It's really hard to explain. My parents claim that they were suppose to send me into kindergarten at 4. I never got it." She shrugged her shoulders and finished wiping off the remaining grease. She smiled and said "Well you and I have a lot more in common then I thought. I play just regular guitar too. I can also play a little piano. Not very well but enough to get by." She was glad she found someone who was just like her. Except she wouldn't think about them going out. That would just be wrong. She would never think about Joey like that. Again that would just be wrong.
She smiled at his last remark "And I'm not that type either. Trust me. I'll listen to rock, pop, alternative, metal, screamo, stuff like that. I'm not a real big R&B, classical, accordion girl." She agian smiled a half smile. This is so great. He's just like an older brother, only we won't end up fighting that much. hopefully. She thought. Hannah was happy. Things were going great. Everything had started to go the other direction since Tristan died. She hated to think about it but she was kinda happy Tristan was dead. Because now she had Jeremy and even Joey as her friend and only a short while after his death. She felt bad instantly. But she would never tell Joey why.
