2. okay, so aside from cooking, i can play the guitar and piano. i've been taking guitar lessons for about eleven years, and piano i think somewhere around ten and a half years, i'm not quite sure. i mostly like messing around with chords and stuff to make random songs.
3. people have told me i'm a good singer, that is, the people that have heard me sing. i'm kinda shy with my singing voice and other than family and a few close friends, no one else has heard me. i just get nervous and feel pressured so i usually just stick to strumming my guitar and pounding the keys on the piano.
4. i'm the youngest child among my siblings. i have an older brother, derek who's three years older than i am. he picks on me a lot, but i don't mind too much. after me, my parents tried having another kid, but there were some complications and it ended in a miscarriage. my mom was too scared to try again. i imagined that the baby was a little girl just because for some reason, i've always wanted to have a baby sister because i wanted someone to protect, mostly because i felt guilty because i couldn't protect my mom.
5. half of our family (specifically my mom's side) aren't speaking to us. i have absolutely no idea why, but my parents obviously know something. i just know it has to do with my mommy's sister (who is the baby) and gramma and grampa got the whole bunch to side with auntie faye. it kinda sucks because she won't let me and dylan and heidi hang out with each other.
6. me 'en derek drove dad's truck into a basketball hoop and left this huge dent on the tailgate. but like dad'll ever find out. we took it in to the auto shop and got it fixed right away. luckily, my brother's friends with a guy that works there and got us a deal so we only had to pay half the expense. we just finished paying for it, oh, about two months ago.
7. i have a lot of favorites, mostly because i can't just choose one thing, because if i do, it reminds me of something else and it leads on to this whole long list. But, i suppose i could list of a few. um, i love christmas and thanksgiving; those would definitely be my two top holidays. one, you get to eat lots of food. two, you get gifts! haha. and i really like the winter time because of the snow and whatnot, and summer because that's when all the amazing fun happens.
8. i LOVE music. any and every kind, again, i'm not picky. although, i'm not to big a fan for rap and all that crap. no offense to anyone that likes that kinda music. going along with other likes, i like cookies, especially chocolate chip, driving, movies, video games, and animals (mostly dogs, horses, and weirdly cats).
9. i'm afraid of falling in love too quickly and rushing in to things too fast. i guess it's just because i'm young and i don't want to get engaged, then married, and settle down right away after high school is over. i don't think i could handle it. i worry it'll happen to me though because i can give someone my love very quickly. it's just easy for me.
10. subjects school related, i'm good at math and stuff like grammar and punctuation stuff. those two subjects have always been my best subjects. now if we're talking science, that's a totally different story. i suck at any topic of science, although i did like chemistry. that was pretty cool. other than that, count me out.
11. i have a religious family. meaning, i'm a christian. now my dad, he's very big on christianity. it's weird though because he's been our youth advisor at the church. so you know how that is. i'm supposed to understand and know the answer to every question he throws at me or anybody else. it gets sickening, only because i don't know everything.
12. my parents don't approve of my career choices. they want me to be something big and fancy, someone who makes a lot of money so i can be the one to take care of them when they grow old. you know, something like a neurologist, or a surgeon, or a lawyer. i don't know. frankly, none of those careers interest me one bit. i would rather do something fun that i'll never get bored with. something that can lift me up if i'm having a bad day, something like playing the guitar or baking brownies.
13. in my opinion, scary movies are stupid and a waste of time. they're pointless and fake. even those that are said to be "based on a true story." all very doubtful. again, that's just my opinion, so hey, whatever floats your boat. i don't judge.
14. my brother was the only one other than my grammy that agreed with my decision to take the opportunity to come to this school after getting the letter. like i said, my parents aren't quite okay with the fact that i wanna do something useless like cook when i could become a surgeon or vet or college professor like they are. after all, that's what they made derek do. except, they don't see that he is miserable, being a history teacher. he wanted to be a forensic scientist or just travel all around the world. and since he didn't follow his dream path, he wants me to go through with whatever i decide to do.
15. grammy would have to be my most favorite person in the world. she taught me everything she knows. when my parents were gone for work and derek and i were too young to stay home alone, grammy would watch us. she always gave me a mug filled with frosted flakes and let me watch movies in her bedroom. once i got older, i would sit out in the living room and watch the price is right or wheel of fortune with her while i played with my tractors. although when i was old enough that i had the choice to go over there, it would usually be to help out grandpa out on the farm, hauling hay bails and getting the cows into the chorale and stuff like that. But when we came inside from a hard day's work, grammy was always waiting with a plate of cookies and milk.
16. i'm allergic to dust and pollen and also smoke (either from a campfire or from a cigarette). i take allergy meds for it, and that helps out a lot so i only have to worry about a scratchy throat and puffy and itchy eyes.
17. when i was seven, i was with my mom at the grocery store and went wandering off on my own when i spotted the candy aisle. once i realized only a couple minutes later that mommy was nowhere to be found, i panicked. i shot off toward the direction i came from. still didn't see her anywhere. i frantically searched for her, tears starting to streak down my cheeks. lucky for me, one of the workers noticed me and asked me what the matter was and after i told them i lost my mom, she gently took my hand and lead me to the management area and suddenly i heard them call my mother's name over the loud speaker and in a matter of seconds, my mom was racing towards me, embracing me into a bear hug. after experiencing that, i never wanted to feel lost again.
18. i lost my best friend in a car accident two years ago. she was with her sister and another friend and they were on their way to her house. about two blocks away, they came to an intersection and while the light told them to go, a drunk driver came and crashed right into the side of the car she was on. she died immediately, the other friend had a concussion and a broken arm and had to get a few stitches, and her sister only had a couple scars she needed to get stitched. it was terrible, and i promised myself that i was never planning on drinking. ever. for her.
19. for some reason, i get along better with girls. i do have guy friends to and it's nice to hang out with the boys every now and then but for some reason i just seem to hang out with girls more.
20. i have recently developed an interest in drawing. it was probably a few years ago when i had an art class in middle school and i really liked it. the teacher told me i had an artist's hand, whatever that means. i took up a hobby of for whenever i get bored, which isn't too often because i'm always jumping around. but, when i feel like sitting and drawing, i will because i have nothing better to do.

Hayden was utterly stunned. The ongoing class had finally ended as the bell went off. At first the boy just sat there for a second before he realized that that was in fact the actual school bell and not just his mind messing with him. He looked around to see the kids quickly making their way out the door, itching to get to their next class. Hayden gathered up his books, still slightly stunned. He couldn't even remember the teacher's long, unending lecture ending, and come to think of it, it probably didn't get the chance to end. Poor lecture... not really, he rethought, smiling happily to himself as he slid out of his chair, books in hand and walked toward the entrance.
After he finally made his way out the doorway, shoving his way through the massive, thick crowd of people still filing out of the classroom, he had to wait to get to his locker because there was a couple kissing in front of it. Ugh. He rolled his eyes in disgust because really, it was very annoying because it happened a lot. And it wasn't the same couple, it was a different one every time! That's what he didn't understand. He cleared his throat loudly, but the pair took no notice. So he sighed, seeing that he had to take action. “Pardon me, but could you continue you're love-fest elsewhere? That's kinda my locker you two are making out on,” he said, pointing to his locker that the guy was pressed up against. It made Hayden wanna whip out the Febreeze. They glared at him and stalked off, arms wrapped around each other.
He started doing his combination and heard his name being called from down the hall a little ways. He glance up after pulling his locker open toward a group of freshmen girls as Saki pushed her way through them. He smiled at her as she made her way over to him. “Hey, yeah I know! I could barely believe it when it actually did.” He shoved his books in his locker. He had to stop and think for a moment. “Hmm... actually, I'm not quite sure, really,” he said. Where was he off to next? That was a very good question. Why couldn't he remember it? He knew his schedule backwards and forwards. Left and right, like the back of his hand, he could repeat it perfectly ten times in a row with his eyes closed. He tipped his head back and closed his eyes, trying to remember. “Gosh, that stupid lecture must've totally drained every thought that really mattered to me. I should have never started listening to it,” he said shaking his head, reading the spines of his books, seeing if maybe one of the titles would pop out at him and jog his memory. “Uh-ooh, a math class... no history, I think...” he thought about it for a short second, then nodded. “Yeah. What about you?” he asked her, turning to her as he grabbed his history books from his locker and pushed the door shut, hearing a quiet 'click.' Maybe he'd walk her to class.
